Animal Husbandry
Art & Culture

The marginalised and the under-served count in the millions across the world, and more so in India. We at HELP Society take it upon ourselves to stand up for those who are unrepresented or don’t have a voice to speak up for themselves. Not just humans, but animals too.

Today sees us actively engaged in helping create a better world where animals are treated with dignity and empathy, and live in protected environments where they stay well-fed.

When we receive an appeal, we act immediately. Whether it is an appeal to repair a cowshed devastated by torrential rains, or street dogs suffering through a bitter cold wave – we make sure these animals don’t have to endure even an extra second more of trauma – responding with aid, immediately. Sometimes, even within less than six hours. Through our various interventions, we ensure disease prevention and veterinary treatment, appropriate shelter, management, nutrition and humane handling.

Where humans domesticate animals for their livelihoods, we look to create a more compassionate relationship. Besides our work in animal welfare, this is also evident in the vocational training we impart (see here). Be it beekeeping, goat or sheep rearing, we ensure that along with a livelihood, our benefactors are also educated on the care and nutrition of their bread earners.

This work in animal welfare also extends to safeguarding the habitats of wild animals, both on land and in water. With our work in tree plantation, river and beach cleaning, Swachh Ganga Kosh, water conservation and the environment.

HELP Society is focus on preserving and promoting indigenous cultures or marginalized cultural practices. Dance is often an integral part of cultural expression, so incorporating dance into our activities helps preserve these traditions.

Dance can bridge cultural gaps and bring communities together. By organizing dance workshops, performances, or cultural exchange programs, HELP Society can foster understanding and appreciation among different ethnic or social groups within a community.

Dance is not just a form of artistic expression but also a physical activity that promotes health and well-being. NGOs often use dance as a means to promote healthy lifestyles, especially in communities where access to sports facilities or fitness programs may be limited.

Dance can be a powerful tool for empowerment, especially for marginalized groups such as women, children, or people with disabilities. NGOs may organize dance classes or workshops to build confidence, self-esteem, and leadership skills among these populations.

Trible Affairs
Differently Abled

Whatever their abilities, everybody has something to contribute to the world. What one person is good at, another might not be. Finding out what your abilities are, and how they can impact the world is at the crux of all our work with the differently abled. Not just facilitating their search for purpose, but facilitating a sense of dignity.

Those living with Cerebral Palsy, the hearing and visually impaired, the mobility impaired – we at HELP Society are dedicated to empowering them with opportunities and resources, therapy and training. Through individualised support and advocacy, we strive to break down barriers, change perceptions, and create an environment where each one can shine.

One of the initiatives close to our hearts is support and guide them to prosthetics and surgeries, physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and guide to where the availability of wheelchairs.

Whatever the initiative, the objective will always be to create a more inclusive and supportive environment that embraces the unique abilities of each person. Giving each person access to dignity.

Tribal communities have faced economic exploitation and environmental degradation due to excessive extraction of resources, which has led to adverse effects on their traditional way of life and livelihood. The areas inhabited by tribal people were affected by unequal trade relations and international regulatory bodies, which led to frustration and repression. The negative impact of globalization on the tribal population has affected their culture, languages and lifestyle in the form of a reform process.

The morality of globalization affected not only the socio-economic conditions of the tribal people but also their cultural status, which put intellectual property rights at risk and led to the extinction of primitive tribal culture. Local people and local communities have been recognized as critical protectors of forests and ecosystems, and in view of the well-being of the tribal people and the well-being of the community, the help society works in support of education, diversity and tribal rights for the Tribals.
